January 2016

So far, damages to infrastructure in Imphal East and West districts of Manipur have been reported due to a high density of high-rise buildings in the area. Landslides in the region are expected as the epicenter of the earthquake is located in a hilly district.
In Bangladesh, authorities have reported that 2 residential buildings have tilted in Dhaka and that some buildings have also sustained large cracks due to the force of the earthquake. Families in these affected buildings have been evacuated, while a team of experts has been dispatched to ascertain the damage done to the impacted buildings.
