Palu and Donggala in Central Sulawesi, Indonesia, were hit by a succession of four major earthquakes, the largest of which reached 7.4 Magnitude, on 28th Sept 2018. The largest quake was followed by a 3m high tsunami. The Indonesian National Board of Disaster Management (BNPN) has reported at least 1,200 deaths, with 540 injured, 29 missing and 16,732 displaced in Palm City alone. According to the latest reports from BNPN on Sunday (30 Sep), about 2.4 million in Donggala and Palu will require humanitarian aid. The numbers are expected to rise.

KARINA (Caritas Indonesia) has asked for basic food necessity, clean water, portable shelter and medical supplies. We are in close communication with KARINA.
